The British Association of Teachers of Dancing

Scotland North

The Scottish North Region holds 2 meetings per year. These meetings are held in various venues in Wick, Inverness, Elgin & Nairn. Our AGM is held in October where the Regional Office Bearers are elected.

Meetings generally last an hour and are always followed by a lecture in one of the branches, providing Continuous Professional Development for the members. There are also opportunities for individuals to put forward suggestions for future lectures within the Region.

Our meetings are friendly and welcoming where members have a chance to express their views and share their experience with others. Each year all Regions have a chance to put forward nominations for the various Committees and the Executive Council as well as any propositions for rules changes within the BATD.

We also hold annual Dance Workshops, encouraging dancers, teachers and professionals of all ages and abilities to join us!
