The BATD is proud to host Highland, Freestyle and Theatre Branch Scholarships worldwide. Scholarships are divided into two age divisions, Junior and Senior.
Students of BATD Teachers and Schools are eligible to be nominated by Examination only, from Grade 3 and upwards for the Theatre and Grade 2 and upwards for the Highland Branches. Freestyle students are entered from Gold Level and above. Students studying for Professional level are not eligible. Successful candidates, who have received both an Honors mark and Special Recognition by their Examiner, have the opportunity to attend their respective Scholarship.
Each Scholarship Genre has slightly different requirements with technique class, written papers, and solo categories. Scholarship classes offer each student the opportunity to have first class instruction with top lecturers and with their peers. This prestigious event draws hundreds of students all vying for the title of BATD Scholarship Winner and Dancer of the Year.
