Since the purpose of the Scholarships is to promote talented students of BATD members, it is mandatory that any student nominated will have been trained in the branch of dance for which they have been nominated exclusively within a BATD school. However anyone who attends Days of dance or Easter/Summer school will not be excluded. If a student has trained out with their BATD school and has not been permitted to enter a Scholarship then to be eligible again he/she must have been solely trained by their BATD school for a complete year from 1st August to 31st July.
The BATD will rely on the integrity of the teacher to ensure compliance with this. Should it come to light that this rule has not been adhered to then disqualification may result.
