To All Canadian Members/Teachers
Please be aware we will be unable to send items to Canada until further notice as advised by Royal Mail due to the ongoing industrial action. Extract from Royal Mail E-mail:
Canada Post has requested Royal Mail and all other International Postal Operators (and consolidators) suspend the dispatch of international traffic destined for Canada, until further notice.
This request is a result of extensive delays and disruption to Canada Post’s network operations, caused by ongoing strike action by the Canadian Union of Postal Workers (CUPW) since October. This disruption is across the Canadian postal network and affects domestic and international mail.
This means we are no longer able to accept items bound for Canada and have been advised by Canada Post that this is likely to remain the situation for the foreseeable future, meaning the next few weeks, including the peak holiday season and into January 2019.
Updates from Canada Post
Canada Post understands the serious impact this is having and will have on customers, both domestic and international. Royal Mail has a long-standing and strong working relationship with Canada Post. We are in dialogue with them and will provide further updates including any changing customer advice as soon as that information becomes available.
Here is the latest statement from Canada Post.
We will update once we have further information.
