North American Trixie Hardy Scholarships 2024

Another very busy weekend for all Candidates at the Trixie Hardy Scholarships in Toronto October 25th & 26th 2024.  With over 300 dancers and 35 schools in attendance it was a testament to the superior work of the BATD Teachers and their students.

The exceptional talent, drive, and enthusiasm from each student made it an exciting weekend for all, whether you danced or not.

The Scholarships classes were superior in content, fun and creativity and with the expertise of our Instructors Ian McLeod, Jay T. Schramek and Sarah Sordoni, every student was a B.A.T.D. Star.

Our pianist Erik Geddis returned once again and made every Ballet Candidate, Teacher and Parent fall in love with live music.  We are extremely grateful.

Classes moved smoothly between sessions and before you know it, the day was done.  With our candidates’ placements showing strength from our many talented teachers and regions.  Congratulations to you all.

Volunteers, your assistance did not go unnoticed and is certainly appreciated. A special shout out to Beverly, Jacqueline, Janice, Alicia, Amber, Meg and Kristen, with many others to mention.  Thank You!!

The Weekend definitely ended on a high note with a Jam Packed Workshop sponsored by the Toronto Region.  Classes from Ballet to Musical Theatre and everything in between was the highlight of our Mini’s to Seniors.  The Area’s Top Choreographers as well as Guest Instructors all helped make the day exciting with positive vibes from everyone.

Thank you to our President Elma Whyte and General Secretary Mark Anderson for their attendance, their kind words of praise and their willingness to make sure each and every child was recognized.  Our Teachers Q & A was appreciated by all, let’s do it again next year.

Teachers thank you for your continued support and entrusting us with your students’ dance education.

We look forward to seeing you next year!
