Junior Highland Members Group Open Forum Meeting

Junior Highland Members Group is an open group for all BATD Highland members under the age of 40. It is a group that provides the opportunity for our younger Highland members to gain experience and confidence in various roles throughout the BATD. Mainly organising and being a part of providing workshops across the country to dancers and their teachers.

The main focus of the group is to provide a friendly yet professional environment where all our younger Highland members can gain hands-on experience and support like minded professionals.

At least two representatives from each region are nominated at their regional AGM each year and come on board with organising workshops in their area.

The group co-ordinator is Tanya Horne who is a Fellow and Examiner of the BATD. Tanya was a competitive Highland Dancer and successful BATD Highland Scholarship winner. Now running her own dance school where pupils have been successfully selected to take part in BATD Highland Scholarships and to date 7 dancers have been successful in gaining their Associate Highland qualification.
