Ms. Anne Sutherland – London Ontario Canada Anne Sutherland is the Director of the Sutherland Studio of Dance in London Ontario. The 50th Anniversary of the school and her teaching career was celebrated last year. She is also the Artistic Director of the “Celtic Dance Company of Western Ontario”. Anne is a Fellow, Examiner and Life Member of the British Association of Teachers of Dancing, Glasgow, Scotland and on the Scottish Official Board Judges’ Panel. She received her Highland Dance training from the late Janet T. MacLachlan. Anne is an Independent Member and Past President of ScotDance Canada as well as an Honorary Life Member and Past President of ScotDance Ontario. She was Co-Chair of the 2015 ScotDance Canada Championship Series in London Ontario. This marked the second time the event was brought to London by Anne, the first being in 1995. A founding member of W.O.H.D.A. Western Ontario Highland Dancing Association, she continues to be involved as the Association’s Professional Advisor. She is Chairman of the B.A.T.D. Western Ontario Region, the Organizer of the Annual B.A.T.D. Western Ontario Highland Dance Festival and Awards Chairman for the Sadie Simpson North American Scholarships. Her students have successfully competed in Competitions, Choreography, Regional Championships, the Canadian Championship and Open Championships winning titles and runner-up positions in Canada, United States, Australia and Scotland.
