The Lawrence Dance Academy has been teaching dancing for over forty years from age two and upwards in Aberdeen and around Aberdeenshire. The School was set up by the Principal Rhona Lawrence in her hometown of New Pitsligo and since then has now expanded to six branches across Aberdeen and Aberdeenshire in Danestone, Kintore, Peterhead, Newburgh and Mintlaw. Peterhead classes are held in our own Dance Studio, 67 Broad Street. We teach from basic beginners for fun to World Championship and Professional standard. As a Member of the UKA we offer examinations including SQA and Teaching Qualifications. If interested in Highland Dance pupils have the opportunity to be trained to competition standard and compete at various events including Highland Games, Competitions and Championships, which can be on a local or global scale. We also do demonstrations and are often asked to perform at various events throughout the year. We have travelled as a group to Disneyland Paris where the pupils have performed on the Disney stage to a live audience and received professional workshop training at the event from top Disney Choreographers. We also took part in the Disney parade, which was a tremendous experience. This we offer to Highland dancers from five years. So whether it's for fun or to compete we cater for all please contact us for more information.
